Appeal Won for 40 Chalets on Greenfield Agricultural Site
An Acorus client can now go ahead with ambitious plans for 40 timber chalets and a campsite on a greenfield agricultural site in Teesdale, providing a major tourist opportunity for the area.
The plans required the change of use of agriultural land and the need to overcome various concerns raised by local planning policy when the original application was refused.
Acorus submitted a planning appeal addressing the points of refusal which included concerns over the possible harmful impact the development would have on the 'Coast to Coast' cycle route and nearby bridleway. Further highway concerns and the negative visual impact it would have on the environment were also successfully dealt with.
