A Butchery? - Granted
Tenant farmers from a Kent farm have been able to go ahead with their development plans for a livestock building and butchery facility on-site following a series of successful applications by Acorus Rural Property Services Ltd.
The clients reared pigs, sheep and cattle meat which they then sent to a local butcher for preparation to sell at local farmers markets. When the butcher announced retirement plans, Mr & Mrs Palmer decided to build their own butchery facility.
Acorus firstly applied for an access route, then for planning for a livestock building and finally permission to convert part of the building into a butchery. All three applications were successful along with a grant application for funding of £68k for the development costs of the butchery.
