Georgian Building in Bath Gets Planning Permission
The owner of a Georgian property which sits within a conservation area and world heritage site in Bath was thrilled to obtain planning permission for a 2-storey extension which would provide a larger shop and further living accommodation.
Bath & North East Somerset Council originally refused to grant planning permission citing the negative impact the development would have on neighbouring occupiers.
Acorus was able to demonstrate that the proposed development would not affect the neighbours' light or impact on their privacy. It was also accepted that rather than threaten the viability of the neighbouring shops, the proposed retail enlargement would benefit the area.
