High Ropes Course Approved In Harewood Forest
A client's plans for a high wire forest adventure development in Harewood Forest were refused due to a perceived harm to both landscape character and the ecology of the area.
Acorus argued that as Harewood Forest was already a commercial woodland, with trees grown to fell and a successful paintball business already insitu, the impact on the conservation of the forest would be minimal.
The Appeal was won by Public Inquiry with the Planning Inspectorate agreeing that this new recreational activity would contribute to the local economy as well as introducing a positive and challenging activity to people already enjoying Harewood Forest.
