No But Yes. . .

A planning application for a site within Green Belt was recommended for refusal by the local planning department but was then subsequently approved.

The owner of farmland, within Salford Council (Greater Manchester), applied for planning permission to create fishing lakes, erect a log cabin and associated car parking.  Although close to an urban area, the site was in Green Belt and resulted in a recommendation for refusal.

Although the use of the land in respect of Green Belt policy was accepted, the final issue that delayed the application was land quality and the prevailing local planning policy.

Acorus became involved when the land owner wanted to move the protracted project forward and, after nearly 11 months (when the statutory timeframe is 8 weeks), the application was approved.
