Acorus SW Office has successfully gained planning for additional key worker accommodation for a client in Devon to serve their established equestrian business.

The business is based on breeding, breaking/schooling, training and livery of horses with the day-to-day management of the business currently undertaken by our client. It is one of only two British Horse Society (BHS) “Where to Train” centres in Devon and an approved Outreach training centre for Duchy College.

Permission has been granted to provide a log cabin on the holding to accommodate a yard manager.  The full time staff member will assist our client in all the day to day activity and any out of hours involvement.

Senior Planning Consultant and Company Director James Whilding was able to demonstrate that there was an essential need for additional accommodation to provide the necessary on-site supervision.
