Midlands Success with Re-Use of Farm Building for Self-Storage

self storage units

The Midlands team is pleased to have secured full planning permission for the change of use of an agricultural building for a storage use.  In 2019 Class R consent was secured for part of the building for storage use (up to 500 sqm), with containers then being provided within the building for ‘self storage’.  Due to the demand for the storage space, planning permission was gained for the remainder of the building and this resulted in an expansion in the number of containers being provided.

This is a welcome diversification scheme for the farm.  The client is pleased with the outcome, stating, ‘that’s fantastic news. Thank you very much for your help and professionalism in gaining this approval’.
