Acorus' Covid-19 Statement

23rd March, 2020 by Acorus

With the rapidly changing nature of the COVID-19 outbreak, information and advice from Government is changing daily.  We are monitoring developments closely, but we are also putting in place sensible measures to ensure the company is well prepared.

The situation will inevitably lead to significant disruption.  It goes without saying that we will be responsive to Government advice and will be taking sensible precautions to minimise the potential impact of coronavirus on our operations while ensuring it is business as usual.

We would like to reassure our clients that it is our priority during these unprecedented times to continue to maintain our high levels of service.  We will be adapting our business practices in order to maintain and continue the delivery of our planning and design projects over the coming months.  This will include:-

  • Site meetings:   As necessary and appropriate we will attend meetings at our client’s request and follow the appropriate NHS protocols.  Albeit, where possible we will encourage phone and video calls.

  • Homeworking:   Subject to Government advice, our offices will continue to be staffed during working hours however we are fortunate that we already have in place systems to allow the majority of our staff to work from home; this is likely to be the case over the coming weeks with a seamless transition.  Individuals will respond to emails and telephone calls as usual, regardless of their place of work.

  • Telephone/Website Enquiries:   Any enquiries to an Acorus office will be dealt with as normal – if necessary phones will be diverted but this will not impact upon the service provided.

  • Health & Safety:   We have a duty under health and safety legislation to take steps to ensure the health, safety and welfare of our staff, so far as reasonably practicable, including those who are particularly at risk for any reason.  Likewise, all staff have a duty to take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of colleagues.  The same duty also applies to our clients.

Thank you for your support and understanding while we make these adjustments.
