Triple Success For South Yorkshire Client

The Yorkshire team have secured a triple  success for a client in the Barnsley area with approvals for:

1) a Certificate of Lawfulness for occupying a house in breach of an agricultural occupancy condition for in excess of 10 years.

2) a Planning Inspectorate Appeal Win for a Retrospective Change of Use application from Agricultural Building to Commercial Use in the Green Belt.

3) a Class Q approval changing the use of an Agricultural Building to a Residential Use, following a resubmission strategy utilising comments from the Inspector in the earlier Appeal win.
The client is overjoyed with the successful outcome of all three approvals.

Acorus’ Eastern team have been successful in obtaining the change of use of a steel framed agricultural building to a dwelling under permitted development rights (Class Q of General Permitted Development Order), in Hampshire. Acorus also undertook the necessary design work. Queries regarding the structural capability of the building were raised during the course of the application, but these were successfully overcome during the course of the application through regular engagement with the planning officer.
